Ara means ‘body’ in yoruba. Aralogy simply means ‘the study of the body. It reflects the story behind the brand.
Aralogy was founded in 2019 by Oluwatunmise Lois, a skincare formulation expert with over seven years of experience. “My own personal experience actually forced me to find a solution. I had really dry skin, and the only things that worked consistently for me were local remedies. But I never quite found products that worked without compromising on aesthetics, texture or experience. With my background in visual design and formulation, I decided it was time to do it better.”
Aralogy is for people who enjoy quality self-care essentials without compromising on performance. Our African botanical-inspired formulations bring together time-tested ingredients and modern formulation to turn everyday care into a rewarding experience for you and your skin. African botanicals have been around for generations, passed down and used long before the idea of “clean beauty” ever existed. We are choosing to, explore these time-tested ingredients through a modern approach. At Aralogy, we believe that it is not enough for a product to be efective or responsibly made, the eperience of using it is equally important. There is a particular satisfaction that comes from using a product that has been thoughtfully considered in every detail. This is the philosophy that we build our products on; Function, Form, Feel and Formula. This is everything that needs to work together to reate a great product that performs exceptionally well, feels good to use, looks considered and is thoughtfully formulated.
At Aralogy, our mission is to create hardworking formulas that support a more well-rounded experience of care. We believe your self-care essentials are part of your everyday life, and the things you use every day should not only perform well, but feel good, look good and bring something satisfying to the ritual.
As we grow and expand, so does our desire to redefine what African care can look and feel like. We want to continue creating considered products that are good for you, good for your skin and body, and increasingly better for the planet. That commitment is already shaping how we think about our products, packaging and production. And soon, we’ll be bringing our sustainability initiative to the public — sharing the steps we are taking to reduce our footprint and build a more responsible way of making beauty.
We’re building Aralogy for the long term, and we’re only getting started.
